Zeni — Terms of Use

Last updated: October 27, 2026
Application: Zeni for iOS and Android
Contact: support@luminadigital.app
Service provider: 61.406.285 Guilherme Magalhaes da Silva, CNPJ No. 61.406.285/0001-50, responsible for the app under the Lumina Digital brand. Headquarters: Brasília, Federal District, Brazil.

1. Introduction and acceptance

Zeni supports family organization through missions, rewards, and stars. Guardians assign activities and monitor progress. Adult and child areas have distinct functions and permissions. These Terms govern use of the app and related services. An adult should read them together with the Privacy Policy before setting up a family and, when appropriate, explain them to the child. Acceptance does not replace the need to protect children's best interests.

2. Adult account and child access

In the version covered by these Terms, initial setup requires adult authentication using an offered method: email/password, Google, or Apple. Adults must provide accurate information and protect account credentials. Children's profiles are created and administered within the family. Children must not exercise administrative account privileges. The adult must be authorized to manage the child's information and consider the child's evolving maturity and rights.

After setup, some local missions, rewards, and star actions work without internet, but not every screen or action works offline. Initial sign-in, child-device pairing, sync, remote photo access, and account deletion require connectivity.

3. Missions and approvals

The guardian sets mission instructions, frequency, target profiles, star amounts, and completion rules. A mission may complete automatically or remain pending guardian approval. Completion, rejection, edits, and approval can create logs and star transactions. Technical checks may correct inconsistencies and prevent duplicates while preserving applicable rights and security rules.

Zeni does not physically verify task completion or replace adult supervision. It must not be used for punishment, humiliation, intrusive monitoring, or dangerous or age-inappropriate activities.

4. Mission evidence photos

When enabled, an adult may request a photo of the result of a mission to assist review; this does not automatically certify completion. Prefer pictures of the task result, avoiding children's faces, documents, people without permission, location information, or intimate details. Adults should offer a no-photo option when appropriate and available.

The current mission-evidence flow captures photos using the device camera, not the photo gallery. They are processed and stored locally and may be uploaded to Supabase's private mission-evidence bucket. Remote access uses signed URLs valid for 300 seconds; this is not social publication. The family must have the appropriate rights or permissions to use the image. Removal follows the Privacy Policy and relevant local/cloud processing.

5. Rewards, stars, and requests

Rewards are defined and made available by the guardian. Stars are internal family points, not currency, wages, banking credit, digital assets, or a payment method. Zeni does not convert them to money or guarantee financial value. Guardians decide redemption criteria, availability, approval, and actual delivery. Zeni itself does not provide or guarantee family-defined physical rewards or services.

6. Pairing profiles and devices with a code

A guardian can generate a six-character code to link a child's device. That device creates an anonymous Supabase session and redeems the code through a remote service, requiring internet. Pairing must be authorized. Do not publish or disclose the code to strangers. Review connected devices, revoke unauthorized links when supported, and protect PINs. Pairing does not grant administrator privileges. Unauthorized entry into another family's information or bypassing controls is prohibited.

7. Inclusion and accessibility

Zeni offers features such as text-to-speech (TTS), font options, text sizes, themes, and visual accommodations. Availability and quality vary by app version, device, system voices, and languages. Offline system voices are preferred when available, but some voices use manufacturer services. TTS is not listening to or recording the child and is not a medical diagnosis or specialized educational treatment. Accessibility options must not be used to label medical conditions.

8. Data, authentication, and cloud

Core Zeni data is stored locally. Supabase supports authentication and selected cloud functions, including synchronization, backups, and restoration; Google/Apple authentication also follows provider rules. Not all data is synchronized or restored the same way. Zeni does not guarantee realtime collaboration, automatic conflict merging, or complete recovery under all circumstances.

Signing out, clearing device data, and deleting a cloud account are different actions. Signing out ends the session without deleting remaining local data. Local deletion does not automatically remove cloud data. Cloud account deletion requires typing EXCLUIR CONTA and server-session validation, uses resumable steps, and protects families with multiple guardians. Authorized deletion may encompass cloud Storage files, database records, and Supabase Auth identities. Automatic local deletion occurs only after verified remote completion (stage: complete); failures or lost responses are not proof of completion. Removing Supabase Auth does not automatically revoke Google/Apple permissions. Contact support if the operation fails.

9. Guardian security responsibilities

PIN, biometrics, profile permissions, session safeguards, and access rules help reduce exposure. Adults must secure devices, keep systems updated, protect credentials and pairing codes, and close the administrative area on shared devices. No measure is infallible. Device failure, network issues, uninstalling, or data clearing may affect access or local copies; carefully review warnings for syncing and restoring.

10. Prohibited conduct and submitted content

Do not use Zeni for unlawful material; exploitation, intimidation, discrimination, or inappropriate exposure of children; unauthorized collection of others' information; access to other families; attacks or malicious code; or violations of privacy, image rights, or intellectual property. Family members are responsible for mission descriptions, rewards, and photos they provide. Proportionate restrictions may apply when required to protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with law, subject to transparency and rights.

11. Zeni Free, Zeni Pro, and subscriptions

Zeni may offer Zeni Free and subscription-based Zeni Pro, with features and limits described in the installed version and store. Zeni Pro may have monthly and annual plans. Before purchase, the store must show the selected plan, billing period, and total localized price for the account and region. Monthly equivalents and savings percentages are auxiliary comparisons; they do not replace the amount charged for the annual term.

Where configured as auto-renewing, subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple or Google account settings. Initial and renewal charges, taxes, timing, and payment methods are governed by the store. Zeni does not promise a free trial, introductory discount, or permanent price unless expressly displayed prior to purchase.

Canceling renewal is not equivalent to deleting Zeni data. Paid access and its end date depend on the billing period and subscription status reported by the store, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and price changes follow applicable store procedures and consumer laws.

Adults may select Restore purchases to request recovery of an eligible subscription. Zeni Pro is activated only after the matching entitlement is verified; a pending request, attempt, or network error is not proof of active subscription. Purchases and restorations are tied to the authenticated adult account and the store's information, subject to account/device association rules.

Purchases belong in the adult area. Children must not initiate purchase, restoration, or changes to subscriptions. Adults should protect both administrative access and system payment confirmations.

On iOS, the relevant Apple App Store license terms may also apply. The operational reference is the Apple Standard EULA, subject to confirmation in App Store Connect; these Terms do not establish a custom EULA. Material pricing or feature changes will be communicated as required. No provision removes mandatory consumer rights.

12. Privacy and children's rights

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy, prioritizing children's best interests. Guardian supervision must be proportionate and respectful of children's growing autonomy. Zeni is not a public social network, does not intend to show mission photos to other families, and is not intended for behavioral advertising aimed at children.

13. Availability and service limitations

Despite efforts to provide a reliable app, updates, maintenance, networks, third-party systems, and device faults may disrupt it. Offline capability does not cover cloud-dependent procedures. Zeni is not a substitute for medical, psychological, specialized educational, or legal advice and does not guarantee behavioral, literacy, discipline, or developmental outcomes. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain in force.

14. Software rights and family content

Zeni's brand, interface, code, and original elements are protected under applicable law. Families retain whatever rights they have in their submitted texts and images. To operate the service, guardians authorize limited technical processing of those materials for the purposes described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion

Guardians may stop using the app, sign out, or request account deletion. Uninstalling does not itself remove cloud records. Local data should not automatically be deleted before remote deletion is confirmed when this could obstruct safe recovery. Access may be proportionately restricted for justified security, fraud, illegal activity, or harm to children. Support can address inquiries and rights requests.

16. Changes, law, and dispute resolution

These Terms are dated October 27, 2026. Updates may reflect legal, technical, or operational changes, with material revisions communicated through available channels. Brazilian consumer, privacy, and child-protection laws apply, without prejudice to other mandatory laws depending on location. Disputes should preferably be handled through support or suitable resolution procedures, without forfeiting consumer rights or imposing an unlawful venue.
